What Is Lift + Augmentation?
Mastopexy-augmentation combines a breast lift with breast augmentation in a single surgery — restoring a higher, firmer position while also adding the fullness or proportion that a lift alone cannot provide. It is designed for patients whose breasts have lost both volume and lift, often after pregnancy, breastfeeding, or weight change.
Coordinating both goals in one operation requires careful surgical planning: the lift reshapes and repositions the breast, while the implant restores volume in a way that complements — rather than fights against — the newly lifted tissue. Dr. Frew evaluates your degree of ptosis (sagging) and desired volume together, as one integrated plan rather than two separate decisions.
Schedule Your ConsultationIdeal Candidates
- Your breasts have lost both volume and lift — they appear deflated and sit lower than they used to
- Your nipples point downward or fall below the breast crease, and you also desire more fullness or size
- You want to avoid two separate surgeries and recovery periods
- You are at a stable, healthy weight
- You have completed childbearing and breastfeeding, or understand that future pregnancies may affect results
- You are a non-smoker or willing to quit before and after surgery
The Process
Assessment & Planning
Dr. Frew evaluates your degree of breast ptosis alongside your volume goals as a single coordinated plan — determining the lift pattern (lollipop or anchor) and implant profile that will work together, not against each other.
Lift Component
Excess skin is removed and breast tissue is reshaped and elevated, with the nipple-areola complex repositioned to a higher, more youthful location.
Augmentation Component
An implant is placed in a pocket coordinated with the lift design, restoring volume — particularly in the upper pole — in a way that supports the newly lifted contour rather than stressing it.
Closure
Incisions are closed meticulously in layers. Because this combines two procedures, Dr. Frew pays particular attention to blood supply and tissue tension to protect healing and nipple sensation.
